Default Smiths 'Bijou' movement query - mystery washer

I'm in the final stages of re-assembling the Bijou movement from a 1950s 'Durban' wall clock, following a strip down and much needed clean. I've overhauled several of these in my time, so didn't anticipate anything that might trip me up.

However, I've got a washer that I didn't notice during disassembly, amidst all the grease and grime. By its dimensions, I think I have pretty much narrowed down where it belongs, although am not convinced that's where it actually came from. The second and third pictures depict where I think it could go, i.e. between the wheels that take the hour and seconds hands.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I've put the washer in place now and completed re-assembly.
