EY51`s go bad, their leads have a habit of dropping off at the pinch. But the overwinds also do suffer from both saturation and shorted turns.

There is loads of information on the LOPT's within these forums. It will probably benefit from drying out and the preferred way is to pass a small current through the overwind so that it gets warm (not hot) for several days.
Try doing a search TV22 LOPT or Bush LOPT

Well worth drying out the LOPT, these have a habit of developing shorted turns.
I always fit a new EY51 to any set I restore, usually increases EHT by 1 to 2 kv. ![]() Mark |

I would not put an AVO on final anode! Could be higher with correct set up, trust Ion Trap is in the right spot?

If I remember correctly there is a sneaky wax paper capacitor hidden under the tagboard that can drag the A1 volts low.
