Default Servicing pre=war TV sets.

In the topic about Marconi 707 and HMV 905 and other stuff I mentioned I will be servicing the various pre-war TV sets in my collection.
So far the HMV 902 TV-radiogram and the Ekco TA701 have been restored to working order.
The HMV 902. This set needed a replacement EHT transformer. Mike Barker did a superb job rewinding a spare EMI transformer. It looks exactly like the original part.
The radio receiver still needs attention as does the EMI K4 record deck, but the main thing is that the set displays a good picture.

It's great to see your 902 up and running again and as you say, a lovely job on the EHT transformer from Mike Barker.

Those familiar with the first generation EMI TV sets will have noticed the power supply unit is not the original. The original unit was missing when the set was found.
It works OK but some of the dimensions are not correct and later on I hope to have a closer replica of the original power unit made for the set.
The replacement power supplier offered no protection for the EHT transformer, no heat fuse. Today, I fitted a Belling-Lee fuse holder as a replacement for the impossible to find heat fuse.
Also needed for safety reasons, a box to to contain the EHT components.
See pic No.3.
It should be a simple enough matter to copy the EHT box in the HMV 900.
