Philips Radio Model? Philips 22 RL 500.
Whilst watching an On the Buses film from 1971 I noticed this radio, that I liked the styling of. At first glance, the handle I thought might have been a Grundig but it's not, further on into the film you could see it was a Philips. The nearest I can find is a Hurricane but the knobs are different. Would anybody please be able to identify this for me?

Re: Philips Radio Model?
I have trawled through Ebay europe and the closest I can find is Philips model 90-RL series -412/00.
A picture is also shown on the radio museum site. Can I be forgiven for passing back the final search for the precise model to you. Good luck. Chris |

Looks almost 15 years ahead of its time in styling!

Re: Philips Radio Model?
Thank you Simpsons for taking the time to look for me, thankfully Radiocruncher has saved me the job of spending even more time looking, thanks for that Graham
It certainly has a Grundig look to it, black up the case and woodgrain effect the grill and you would be hard pushed to tell. Finding one in good condition at a realistic price is the next task, I would imagine even now it would cost a few quid. The radio museum seems to be showing several variants, so here's one that’s not so confusing. regards poppydog https://www.doctsf.com/grandlivre/fiche.php?ref=24083 |
