Default Harpenden 4th March

Hi
I am thinking of going to the BVWS AGM at Harpenden this weekend, is anybody else from the Pool and Hull areas going?
I have a post in the FCS for transport of a KB radio from Hull and also CobaltBlue also has a radio waiting for for me in Pool.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
Thanks
Mike

This is a good place to remember all those little (and not so little) things we need to take to Harpenden.

I've got a Peto Scott TV for Mark in Worthing (any news of your friend yet?), an EIAJ connector for Dave (Amrad) and a pile of bits for Rob (Glowinganode)

As usual we'll be having the Bring and Buy stall raising funds for the Vintage Wireless Museum. I'm sure you all know the arrangements by now. You can sell items with 10% commission or donate them with 100% going to the Museum.

CobaltBlue lives or works fairly close to me so I could bring his radio along for you if he can get it to me.

Thanks Jeffrey.
Likewise I have a load of RA17 bits for Phil and a leather handle for Nick TYJ (and some bits for you too Jeffrey).

Hi again
I dont suppose there is anyone in the Southend/Basildon, South Essex area who wants a lift to Harpenden, we can share fuel costs.
Reply here or send me a PM to arrange.
Thanks

Hi All,

I have just sent the Harpenden Auction Catalogue file to Paul to put up on the BVWS website.

This comprises of 185 lots at present, but there will be more added over the next couple of days, as we have so much stuff here.
The catalogue will not be updated to reflect this. It will be a suprise to see what else is in the auction on the day.

Hope to see you all there on Sunday!

Mike...

Hi, I've a few things for the B&B, but have no idea whatsoever about the arrangements - do I just bring along? Do I need to price/label? Could do with some guidance about sensible pricing - people seem to be most generous, but I am skint and needing to cover my costs if poss! Am looking forward to the day.

For the B&B just bring the stuff along. The B&B is in the foyer so you can't miss it. If you can label with prices that's great, the museum gets 10% of the sale price. If it's a donation with 100% going to the museum then there's no need to price it, we'll just do the best we can.

Please remember that we close the B&B at 1pm and if anything you brought is unsold you must take it home with you.

I'm taking a few things for the B&B and picking up a nice Atlas starter/ballast lamp from Roy

Apologies if I have missed something but are there to be no photographs to view of the lots for this Sundays auction?

Cheers

I'm afraid I won't be there. This is due to me starting a new radio show at 6.00 PM. Have a good day everyone.

If a UNITRA K-100 turns up, buy it and I'll reimburse you!

Cheers,

Steve P.

What time do doors open tomorrow? It's just I thought there was something in the back of my mind saying that the times had changed?

What a generous lot you are

The Bring and Buy stall raised a record amount for Museum funds. Over £350 which is more than twice the usual.

Thank you to all who contributed

A special thank you to Peter and Edward for coping so valiantly with the rush of business on the stall.
