That's great, thank you AC/HL

Any particular pitfalls I should be looking out for PJL?

Yesterday I have written about the schematic and I give a link here to get the free complete original schematic for this V5A radio.
Obviously it is removed ?

Did I something wrong here?
I have send it again per P.M but I think this is a bit strange..

I think schematic is free for all to get and to download onn the internet.
It cannot be that some soletairy people think that they -own- all the rights and force others to pay for it , just becouse they have a schematic collection.
Often these collections are created by "using" schematic's from others onn the www.

Just wonder

Hi Ben

You have fallen foul of Rule B12, there have been many discussions about this in the past.

Quite simply this Forum is at least in part supported by the sales of service data.

Cheers

O.K thanks for this info .
I understand. ..I think :Only 1 schematic data base is allowed here...
Helpin here with link to schematic from other sources is not allowed.

Clear.

It is indeed supported by sale of data and Paul's dvd is well worth it in time-saving alone.

Can I say I don't know you managed to clean that set up so well, never mind rewire etc.

Hi Ben,
Anyone is free to search the Internet for content, and many (most!) of us do.
As has been pointed out above, this Forum is supported by http://www.service-data.com/, and we do not allow links on here to other sources for data which is on there, for obvious reasons. It's one of the rules everyone agrees to on registration (B12).
Data which is not on there is exempt, of course, but the V5A is.

Does this DVD cover car valve radios as well?

A lot of Car radios are covered including Motorola and Radiomobile

You can always check if a set is covered by doing a search here

Cheers

Whoever designed that set must have been a fan of M. C. Escher....

Sorry Ian only just got back on this post. Yes, as stated, Pau'ls DVD covers car radios and a heck of a lot of other sets as well.

Have stated before while I have trader sheets I find Paul's DVD far better as it is all there in front of you very quickly.

Hi Ian, the one I restored was in a right mess, I am sure yours will be easier. In common with some other Philips sets of the period, the rubber insulation had become fluid and had dripped off the wires in places so I had no option but a complete rebuild.

Why don't you start a new thread in the Vintage Radio section and post a few pics of what you have.
