Default H.M.V. 463 wavechange problem fixed.

I thought I would wake up the old H.M.V. it's been asleep for a few years after restoring it, it worked on long wave but m/w just motorboating , a poke around led me to the w/c switch so a good clean was all it needed.
So I thought , it was still int, next I cleaned the contacts with very fine emery paper, still no luck ,I have had this before the cure was to solder the contacts on the reverse ,but seeing that the switch had to be removed to do this I decided to solder in some new gold plated contacts removed from a multi pole relay they were twelve, that's how many I needed .
I re assembled the switch and what do you know it worked first time a quick adjustment of the leavers were all that was needed . Mick.
