Drive cord on Ekco U362
I need to replace the drive cord on en Echo U 362 and mos of the old cord is still in place. However not quite sure how the longer return length gets to the drive wheel on the variable condenser. Do both cords run on one pulley just before they wrap round the drive wheel, or am I missing a pulley wheel ?

Re: Drive cord on Echo U 362
Apparently, the U 353 uses the same chassis, so if anyone has drive cord drawing for that one, could you post it please.
I have Trader sheet for the U243 and drive cord is similar layout ,but not as far as I know the same layout. Got an intermitent fault with this set. On switch on, sometimes gives out a large 50hz hum, but other times it does not. Dodgy valve, or capacitor ? Mike. |

Re: Drive cord on Ekco U362
Drive cord now fixed, worked it out in the end. The return cord goes direct to the large drive wheel and not via any pulley.

Still getting mains hum sometimes when switching on set. If chassis is rapped lightly, hum stops. Valve problem ?
