Re: Purchased a Single standard Philips
I visited Manor Supplies in West Hampstead in the early 90s when I bought their MK5 pattern generator. I was served by Mrs Sylvester herself who in her own words said that I had purchased a good machine there. As Glyn said above considering it wasn't a very big shop it was an Aladdins cave full of TV panels and spares. Spotted many Thorn/BRC ones.

Re: Purchased a Single standard Philips
Very nice looking sets and could be made to work well. I seem to remember a few resisters changing value in the line oscillator stages which caused problems.

Re: Purchased a Single standard Philips
I had one that developed buzzing on sound. Eventually tracked it down to dry joint(s) on one of the IF transformers.

Re: Purchased a Single standard Philips
Just noticed my last post was number 210! Not a lot really but interesting it coincides with the model of TV in question!
