Default Amplion Expert Required for AR19 speaker

Amplion Dragon AR19 Speaker horn types;

I have an AR19, well I think it is and it has a wooden horn without any metal strips.
I found what I thought was an AR19 horn with metal strips in eBay.
The mounting for the horn on the metal tube of the AR19 is 95mm inside diameter.
The horn with the metal strips is 100mm outside diameter so it won’t fit!
Did a little research on the internet and it looks like that later models of the AR19 had the screw in fitting not the rubber mounting like my AR19.
So is my AR19 correct as an early model?
Do the later models have a different tube to take the screw mounting on the newer horn?
Thanks,
Gary

Hello,
Yes the newer horns have a different tube. It has a section of a sphere at the end into which a matching rubber gasket with a threaded inside fits. The actual horn screws into this locking the part spherical gasket into the part spherical end of the tube so it can't pull out.
It is the same at the small end with a much smaller part spherical threaded rubber gasket into which a bakelite driver with a threaded end is screwed.
Yours, Richard
