BVWS Royal Wootton Bassett - 3rd December 2017
Hello everyone,
The next BVWS event is the Royal Wooton Bassett radio meeting and auction on Sunday the 3rd of December 2017. This will be a very busy event as we are now fully booked for stalls (30) and I cannot possibly fit any more into the hall! The usual Bring & Buy stall will be in operation in the side annex as usual for those who still wish to bring things to sell. I have started the process of lotting up for the auction and there is so much stuff here that we will need to hold an extra auction only event in early 2018 so look out for a January/February date appearing VERY soon... All the usual hot drinks and food will be available throughout the day and of course the customary Mince pie at the door! Everyone welcome to visit, but only BVWS members can participate in the auction. However you may decide to join up on the day which will be possible. Why not take the opportunity to renew your BVWS membership for 2018 while you are there. Payments by card can be taken on the day. See the BVWS website for times and location and other details. See you all there. Mike...

Hi All,
its going to be a very busy day tomorrow at Royal Wootton Bassett. If anyone notices road closure signs in the area, you will be OK as they do not start until Monday 4th, so just ignore any that have been put out. See you all there tomorrow. Its a FULL HOUSE! Mike...

I can't make it unfortunately as I'm still suffering with the end of a nasty cold I've had for the last week or so. Have a great day everyone, and see you at the special auction in Feb.

Another very enjoyable day at RWB. A massive ‘ Thank You’ to Mike and his team of volunteers, for all the hard work, as usual.
Even if you don’t buy much ( I was restrained today, only spending a tenner in the auction) you get to see friendly familiar faces and see equipment that you never knew existed, or gear of such rarity, that you would be lucky to see again. Always worth the long drive. Roll on the special auction in February! Cheers. SimonT.

Re: BVWS Royal Wootton Bassett - 3rd December 2017
Well what a busy day! I must say that I didn't know whether I was going to be able to go this morning as I ate something yesterday that didn't agree with me and as a result I was very poorly overnight and didn't get much sleep. Nonetheless I managed to find the energy on stage to get through it but I am now exhausted.
I sold an item in the auction and I also bought a bunch of other items from stallholders, a working nixie tube bench multimeter, a 5" colour CRT TV and a box of vintage miniature lamps all for a total of £11 A very good day, hats off to those who organise it and a big thanks to those in the kitchen too who keep all the breakfasts, tea, cake and sandwiches on a constant roll-out! Cheers and see you all in February!

Another really enjoyable day meeting up with friends and making some more friends. Mike and the team did a superb job with the canteen up to its usual very high standards.
A big thank you to you all. I bought two items from the auction, a box of NOS TV valves, most of them Mullard and a Marconi UHF signal generator for a grand total of £10.

An enjoyable and fruitful day, thanks to Mike and everyone else involved. As usual, a thorough browse of the stalls resulted in a bag of bargain goodies, including appropriate knobs and mains toggle for the hulking brute of a Scott RCH in resus here,

Re: BVWS Royal Wootton Bassett - 3rd December 2017
I assume that items missing from the results list are ones which didn't reach their reserves (or received no bids).
