Default Ever Ready Sky Baby, battery leads.

Does anybody know the colour code for the batteries in an Ever Ready Sky Baby? Thanks!

Default Re: Ever Ready Sky Baby

Assuming you mean the valve version, according to the ERT service sheet it is

HT+ Red
HT- Yellow
LT+ Brown
LT- Black

HT is 90V at 10.2mA, LT is 1.5V at 125mA.

Before connecting, check between LT+ and LT- with a meter. It should be a low resistance (tens of ohms?) as it is the four valve filaments in parallel. As you remove the valves the resistance should increase. This will confirm that you have the right connections, as connecting the HT supply to the LT will blow the valve filaments.

I have emailed you the service data.

Hi Josh. Be careful with the valve holders, in a lot of the Ever Ready valve sets the metal in them becomes very brittle with age and will break. . Good luck with the sky Baby from John C.
