Default RA and R and A - confused...

In a related thread, R and A are mentioned as a manufacturer of loudspeakers. Naturally I have come across these many times, and apparently R and A stood for Reproducers and Amplifiers.
However... I also am certain I also recall RA, standing for Richard Allen. I feel sure they manufactured loudspeakers too. Or am I wrong? Is my memory playing tricks?

.....then of course there was also R&A, Radio & Allied, a GEC company (Sobell et al), whence came Arnold Weinstock!

ah the Richard Allen bonnie Baflette! Lovely name

edit: think it was a Baby Baflette

I notice that they were in Batley...which is also where Fane are. A quick google suggests that Fane were formed by ex-employees of Richard Allan.

Thanks for the replies, gents. It would seem that yet again, I have evaded senility. For now,at least.
