Vintage FM differing in Signal reception
Ive several vintage, by which I mean about 15-20 years old, little FM battery handheld radios and noticed that they receive different stations!
One gets Scottish country dancing from Scotland though we are in Oxford! Another can get Welsh Language broadcasts and another receives LBC, though only if held by the body. Otherwise its all fizz and crackle or unwanted 'music' stuff drowning it out. Recently the Digital One stopped receiving LBC by which I mean it vanished from the Station listings. Up till then reception had been good. Confused, Harry. |

Re: Vintage FM differing in Signal reception
Maybe a nearby car* DAB adaptor, if you lived next door to me 97.4MHz would yield the World Service, Radio 4 Extra, 5 Live, Radio 3 at different times of the day. I use it as a (this time legal unlike MW ones) pantry transmitter to give my vintage FM sets a broader programme choice.
*of course they don't have to be in a car, I have one on my motorcycle and one in the kitchen. |

Station reception changes on a daily basis as well.
