What a great resource - I will have fun reading those when I have a few hours - I dipped in randomly and found on Page 7 of the Feb 76 issue MPU News saying that 8080A and 6800 were now only £26 each ex VAT but that SC/MP would be released in a couple of months - rumour had the one-off price as £12.50!

Perhaps the earliest mention in the UK I have seen of the chip.

Sorry chaps I thought Daves stash was well known.
I spoke to him about the old 'Accumulator' ACC Newsletters last year and he said the ones posted there were all he had. I also have quite a bundle but they're nearly all 'repeats' of Daves - with just one exception so far - but I'm sure I have more in the loft. Missing 7/1 attached, features the 7768 monitor board.

Thanks for that ACC Newsletter as well - It does seem to be on bitsavers either (And they don't appear to have a directory for these, with the previously found ones, under the Microbear).

However (from the first one I looked at, at least), it seem these aren't as good on technical info and more about new product announcements.

I'd previously read that the 8080 (and the 6800 nealy as much?) were > $200 - even more than the previous 8008 & 4004.
(So building an Altair, was rather expensive back then). And until the release of the Z80 & 6502 (at $25?) in 1977?, which had led to slashing of prices (although 6800 was still around $69?).
So it was surprising the prices of these were as 'low' as that in 1976.
I did notice that 6800's were being sold at £14 + 8% VAT in 1978 in first issue of PCW - Rather cheaper than some EPROM like 2708's at around £30! And characters PROM's were £15 (But I did see any blank PROM's being advertised, to see how those compared).
I do recall even in the early-80's that 6264's 8K RAM IC's weren't that cheap and 62256's 32K ones £70?
