The first program was about the history of the plastic credit card right up to contactless cards, and a little bit about how the Russians put a bug in a gift to the USA.

edit: I realise that I probably had The Secret Life of Machines going through my subconscious and ended up conflating the two.

Neil Smith featured on there with the Russian Great Seal Bug is G4DBN. He has been discussing it on the RSGB Tech Groups IO list and telling us more and will soon have some Utube videos about it. Yes, it is definitely worth watching and all the other bits in it are as well.
