Default Re: Another crazy miniamp

I'm the short crazy person on vocals .

The preamp is still working allright. Although it does get HOT. Not too hot to touch, but definetly warm.

I'm beginning to think than an EL84 is a big waste of power, since i allways have the speaker load turned on, and all the power of the EL84 just gets dissipated by the 4.7ohm resistor. But the question is...would a lower power valve sound as good when clipping?

Next time i will try to get a mixing desk in there, so we can have direct audio feed rather than relying on a mic. Then the video's sound will be much better.
