Gorgeous deco electricals
There's a series called Art Deco Icons on BBC Four each Tuesday.
Tonight's (see iPlayer) showed, inter alia, several electricals from the UK, USA and Germany. I yearn for the light green Belling electric fire. Graham |

Re: Gorgeous deco electricals
interesting that he had to "go round the back" to get the ekco to work
I noticed the toaster that was being used had a worn mains lead & was still on while the toast was removed, in contrast a life jacket had to be worn for a sedate river trip! Thanks for posting as i had missed this, i look forward to more in this series. Mark |

Re: Gorgeous deco electricals
I must check this out !
Maybe they should have worn the lifejacket for removing the toast ,along with some elbow length thick rubber gloves |

Re: Gorgeous deco electricals
The Belling fire's good to look at, but my favorite (sic) has to be that American four slice toaster. It would have to be on the breakfast table, though, not in the kitchen.

Re: Gorgeous deco electricals
He had to do that so we could see the set anyway but perhaps he was also being a human aerial. I enjoyed the programme but it seemed like they were struggling to fill the half hour slot so parts of it got boring, like the bit going up and down the river, telling us what we could or couldn't see.
