Default Irish radio amateurs now have access to 54.0- 69.9 MHz (TV Band 1)

Interesting to read that radio amateurs in the Republic of Ireland now have access to 54.0- 69.9 MHz (much of TV Band 1) as well as considerable other additional low VHF spectrum on a secondary basis
(read this week's news at www.irts.ie)
Considering the wide bandwidth available, one wonders if there will be amateur TV transmissions (ATV) using analogue TV broadcast standards (i.e. 625-line/ System-I) that can be directly received by domestic TVs?, maybe even 405-line to demonstrate such vintage TVs (405-line sets would historically have been in use in areas of the country that could receive UK 405 line transmissions)

An interesting analysis including of the new low-VHF bands available in Republic of Ireland on the Southgate Amateur Radio news site here:

http://www.southgatearc.org/news/201...es-in-eire.htm

and some clarification of ambiguities highlighted in the above link:
http://www.southgatearc.org/news/201...rification.htm

From reading the latter it still appears to be the case that amateur TV (ATV) transmissions using former analogue terrestrial as well as digital modes is now possible in Ireland on Band I
