Default Heathkit MSP-1 stabilised power supply

I have one of these, which is very useful from time to time but the rubber mains lead is badly decayed. So here's the problem - I can't work out how to open the case to replace it! I feel I must be missing something very simple - anyone know?

Thanks, John.

Undo the 8 screws around the opening in the back panel securing it to the chassis, then ease the case backwards away from the front panel.
