Re: More practical valve circuits.
I’m intrigued as to what might have been shocking about photograph 5 to cause it to be removed.
Perhaps someone attacking a cat for its whiskers or a grid that was overly biased? I have never seen this one but I love ancient radio/wireless books. The occasional remarks in one I have been reading recently would send health and safety into a fit of apoplexy. |

Re: More practical valve circuits.
Hi, I certainly have that one in my collection as well as some other JST books.
I think they fell out of popularity in the later 30's; there was a strong current of opinion that he over complicated his circuits to add a bit of mystique Ed |

I never heard that, but, I can certainly agree with the sentiment To all accounts he was a bit of a marmite character, and very into self promotion.

Unfortunately none of this stuff is especially valuable because the target audience is quite small. |

They provide nostalgic entertainment given some of the practices described and mentions of 2LO, etc. |

"The future of wireless will be darkened by greater complexity"
JST on the flyleaf of one book or another. I hope I have quoted it accurately. |

Re: More practical valve circuits.
I picked this booklet up many years ago that, I assume, once belonged to JST.
