Default "Radio News" magazine - all issues!

Plenty of reading here - every issue of the American magazine "Radio News" from July 1919 to April 1959 plus a few copies of the successor "Electronics World" onwards.

http://americanradiohistory.com/Radi...Page_Guide.htm

I randomly picked the January 1955 copy and found a story about the first commercial transistor radio, a Regency (TR1?) 4 transistor superhet and an interesting article written by a US TV service tech working in London describing the differences in technology and conditions.

There's years of winter reading in there!

OOPS! - I see someone has beaten me to it!

Interestingly, in that January 1955 issue, the Raytheon advertisment on the inside front cover discusses valves with controlled heater warm up times for use in series strings in TV receivers. This topic has recently come up in this thread:

There are some fascinating articles in those mags, a real good read. I wish I knew why my Blackberry Playbook downloads them but when I come to read them all I get are blank pages! They work fine on my PC.
PDF's from other sources work fine.
