Hi folks,
does anyone have a Sony manual and can look up the setting of the two adjustable capacitors in the line output stage please? On trader sheet 1803 they are referred to as C811 and C813. I've replaced the LOPT on my set, but the line linearity isn't right. I wondered if the Sony manual gives any clues about how to cure it and if adjustment of C811 and C813 is involved. Cheers Andy

Check the value of the large yellow
S correction capacitor near the scan coils, supposed to be 3.3uF I think but may have dropped, I think changing that may help. They all do seem to suffer from line linearity issues to an extent. |

Yes, I've never seen one of these without a line lin. problem. Most of them have excessive width on 625 too.

According to the parts list, C816 is a paper capacitor so that will very likely be faulty in some way. I can't seem to find it in the schematic, but C8xx are all in the horizontal stage.
