Can't remember which model, but I (cough) "borrowed" a NICAM board the same as that from one of a batch of sets I installed as promotion barkers in a chain of stores.
I ended up with perhaps the only 17 inch Thorn 8000 to boast NICAM stereo, not to mention Teletext.
