Default Beogram 1000, respraying

I've picked up a Beomaster RG900 which has a Beogram 1000 which is in very poor shape.

It's goy the crinkly silver finish. Can I use Hammerite Silver spray paint with hammered finish?

Something like this

Or can someone recommend something else. I need to do it this coming weekend!

I guess you will have to try it to see if it works for you. I have not been very impressed with Hammerite paints recently, and there's been a lot of anecdotal opinion that they're not as good as they used to be - perhaps trading on their old good name.

I have been very pleased with Paragon Paints. They have a hammered range which has been successful for me in painting some welders, compressors and motors.
