The vcr has following problem: won’t take cassette in ja loading motor is running all the time back and forth. Also cassette light burnin green indicating that cassette in even there is not. What can cause this (belts are ok)?

Sounds like a timing issue.

You'll need to remove the carriage and make sure the deck is in the STOP mode and the carriage is in the EJECT position. Then see if the motor's still running.
If it is then either the deck timing is out or the mecha-state switch is faulty (unusual) or misaligned.
If all's well here then it's going to be an electronic fault - check the plugs and sockets first and remove any glue on the circuit board that's gone brown.
