. . .Apart from the "PW Purbeck", the 50 MHz W.W. Oscilloscope, the E.T.I. design and John Becker's 1988 design in "Everyday Electronics", are there any other known UK /Australian magazines known to have published plans for Fully Solid–State Oscilloscopes?
. . .None of the designs I've listed are anything like this home–built Oscilloscope I'm trying to document! Chris Williams

There was the Elektorscope, which started in the December 1976 issue of Elektor.

We're all guessing without seeing a pic of it. Possibilities could be Heathkit, Ambit/Circuit International, Mapli, Elektor Magazine, Maker Pro, Television Mag,Radio Electronics Mag etc etc.

Seeing this reminded me of forum member, Miguel, with his home-built oscilloscope:
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?t=81184&highlight=oscilloscope Of all the DIY projects out there, this one stands out. Amazing work, Miguel. |

. . . Excellent as Miguel's design is, it is predominantly valved, based on the S51/D51 etc., so not a likeness of this design I'm trying to work out, which is entirely Transistorised plus one D.T.L. and one T.T.L. i.c.!

. . .I should add that these aren't my metalwork skills, the construction of all the metalwork, plus the acrylic panel lettering, more of which will be pictured in my "Home–Built Laboratory Oscilloscope" thread, is far beyond anything I have the facilities to make!
. . .Despite the overall superb appearance of the outside, the internal construction is very much a "home–built" affair, being built, as I said in my other thread, entirely on Veroboard! Chris Williams

Chris,
There were two from Radio and Electronics Constructor magazine both by RA Penfold. The first was in Dec 1972 to Jan 1973 issues. An updated version appeared in the Sep to Nov 1975 issues. Regards, Symon |
