Default Need some help with a TEAC EQA-5 EQ

Hi there! I got myself this home grade eq and I have a couple of servicing questions.

First off, I went to clean the faders but unfortunately, my Deoxit F5 did not turn out a good choice. The right channel faders are now all feeling quite sticky when I move them compared to the left side which I left untouched for now. I have no clue what to use to make them move smooth again like they should be?

Second thing I want to talk about is the right channel 2kHz fader. Whenever I move that fader it starts popping and it disconnects my entire right side unless I give it a nudge to make it conduct the signal again. It would be super useful if you can give me any suggestions on troubleshooting that one!

In reverse order the 2Khz fader might be dry jointed to the pcb, if it is that way connected. Otherwise either a bad wiper contact or open circuit track/s.

I would strip the right channel faders and manually clean them. This will be somewhat time consuming. There is a green coloured DeOxit Fader lubricant available for slider pots.

Ok, so after I posted this it took until last night when I noticed my right side is now starting to feel much smoother nearly as good as the left. I only sprayed a bit of contact cleaner after the first lubrication on the 16kHz fade and the first two. These still feel as stiff as when I initially did this.

Today I got the deoxit fader F100L and applied it to only one of the three remaining stiff ones. I will wait a couple of days to see the result but now I can't pick up a difference.

If I have to take the fader off I will probably not want to do that because they seem quite stacked and it basically pops when I move it but the signal doesn't disconnect like I mentioned earlier

I use Tuner 600 for sliders, as DeOxit is wildly expensive and I've not read any conclusive evidence that it's any better.

Alternatively, Kontakt 60 (with Kontakt 61 for lubricant), or Kontakt 60 Plus which has some lubricant in it too. I haven't tried these myself, but the descriptions seem to fit your application requirements.
