Dave sadly the handle is too big. The handle sent is about 4" in length or 10cm. The bolt I have is about half that length 2" or 5cm approx.

Isn't the bolt heavily recessed into the handle which has a hex moulded into it? Failing that can't you just get a new bolt? Do we know what the thread form is?

The handle is too thick to sit in the recess

Goodness, that's a clean one Alan! Ken can have the 1/4 UNF bolt out of mine 'cos I've found an unbent one while looking for a spare. Just check your dimensions agree.

I'm confused now!
I thought the handle was too big to fit the recess and the bolt was too short. In the first post the OP says that the handle is broken, so I assume he needs a handle to fit the recess?

Graham if you compare photos the handle Dave sent me is too thick and won't sit in the recess on the drill. Julian has the correct handle with narrower end and bent bolt.
I have the correct bolt but unfortunately not the correct handle. If you study the photos carefully you can see the differences in thickness. I have returned the handle to Dave Ken |

Ken, if you can get over to Burnopfield (NE16) you are welcome to see if any of my parts will fit. PM me if you need more details

Ed, it might help if you could post a photo of a handle that might fit.

I offered 2 handles in post 11, one being hard plastic with a long bolt hole and the other being the polythene type with the shorter bolt hole. In post 14 you chose the hard plastic handle with the long bolt hole!
It appears that you actually require the polythene handle. If you don't get sorted elsewhere this polythene handle is still here. Dave
