Exclamation Lead type for Sony Betamax Video SL-C20

Hi
I have managed to acquire the above video player/recorder but it didn't come with any leads or an instruction manual.
Could anyone please tell me what lead is needed for the Video Out socket as I don't have one and don't recognise the socket.
Thanks

The Video Out socket is a BNC type.

Modern TVs and DVD recorders use Phono sockets for audio and video. If that's what you want to connect your Betamax to, you'll need a BNC to Phono lead for the video signal and a phono-phono lead for the audio.

Alternatively you can convert the BNC socket to phono with an adaptor like this one: http://www.maplin.co.uk/bnc-plug-to-...t-adapter-1593
Then just use a phono-phono lead.

The C20 has mono audio. This means you will hear sound in only one speaker if you connect it to a stereo TV or DVD recorder. If you want sound in both speakers you can use a phono splitter like this (but the sound will still be mono) : http://www.maplin.co.uk/2-to-1-phono-adapter-1018

Note I have given links to Maplin Electronics but other suppliers may be cheaper. "Pound Shops" often have phono leads and adaptors for £1 - if you have a bargain store nearby, it may be worth a look.

Can't thank you enough for your help, excellent explanation and assistance. Will call to Maplin's to sort the problem.
