Difference between Philips tubes?
Hi all,
From the EAK series, there are a lot of different types: EAK051X11 EAK071X11 EAK222X13 EAK251X13 EAK552X11 I know that the 051/071 were the lower end (non blackline) types. Also the X number specifies the yoke. The 222, 251 and 552 are blackline types, where the 552 is the most modern one. Does someone know what the exact differences are between these blackline ones? Can you swap those? Maybe I want to replace a 222X13 with a 552X11. Will give the difference X13/X11 also a problem? |

Re: Difference between Philips tubes?
As a working hypothesis I'd assume X11 versus X13 is a problem (different resistance and induction of one or both deflection coil sets), but 222 versus 552 isn't.
