Are you sure you have the lever installed the correct way? If installed correctly it cannot come out. |

As sure as I can be. I fitted it with the 'u' shaped hook end in the lever/knob assembly, as shown in that diagram, and the Right angled end through the hole marked 'C' on the switch.

I've since refitted the lever as per the service manual instructions, and carefully bent the hook to narrow the gap, so it shouldn't come out of the actuator on the rec/PB knob assembly again
