Default Philips AD5010 speaker wiring

Hi All.
The above mentioned speaker cab usually comes with the Philips AG9110 cabinet amplifier and this one does.
On opening the back to do a speaker re-wire I noticed it had been wired different to what I was expecting, the cabinet has a 12" speaker along with a 7" speaker and the positive wire from the amp went to a solder lug on the 12" speaker, the other lug on the 12" speaker was wired to the positive on the 7" and then the negative wire from the amp bypassed the 12" and went direct to the neg lug on the 7" completing a full circle, is this wrong? as I expected both wires from the amp to be connected to the 12" then jumping up to the 7" with a capacitor somewhere?
Gaz.

Ye Gods - these are rare now. There may not be a filter capactor at all, so that the 7" unit (which may probably be dual-coned) acts as an upper/bass full-range unit. Any strange wiring configuration sounds typically Philips.

This completed listing shows the wiring clearly, just as you describe: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PHILIPS-S...p2047675.l2557

Yes Edward, the original booklet states the 7" as dual coned for 'best reproduction of the upper register'.
Looks like I have removed the original speaker wires that I thought some else had put in, best put them back then.
Thanks for the help guys, never thought to look on ebay.
