Default Unknown speaker

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen a speaker like this.

The 10” bass speaker in the bottom is a seas unit.

Looks like something was wrapped around the black sides , but what?

Anyone with any info on this ?

It looks like the subwoofer which went with the Rogers JR149s, I think. If the 10" driver is modern it may be a replacement.

Some details on the second row here http://www.mcmullon.com/icollect/hi_..._rogers/jr.htm and also at the bottom of the same page.

Cheers,

GJ

Looks a bit like the KB omni from 1960 but that had a 6" driver mounted at the top

You could be correct on the rogers as there is whats left of foam on the bottom.

The base looks different than Rogers

The speaker inside i think would be original due to its age

Rogers base has buttons etc on it. Mine only has the 2 speaker terminals and no internal crossover

The Norweigen label might suggest SEAS as the local manufacturer.

I have been into the garage and found the X over sub bass amplifier it is a Jim Rogers device. I have not used this in about 10 years. When my sub woofer failed I fitted it with a Kef B139. Sounded OK.

Does the base look the same?

Just finished renewing mine , covered with zero acoustic foam, not cheap @ £40 for 1.5metres.

I use as my main speakers a set of JR150 with the stands , one of the best sounds I have heard ( now trying to get SWMBO to let them in to the house from my shed )

That's definitely a Seas driver. There used to be datasheet's on the Seas website for most if not all of their vintage speakers.
