I can't see any genuine manufacturer sticking (presumably) a tuning knob in the middle of the speaker fret. It just doesn't look right...or the style of the knob for that matter. I reckon it's a mock-up.

For what its worth the sit-com was made at Teddington Studios in studio 1 and the production company was Alomo Productions which have since been bought by FremantleMedia Ltd

The big black knob looks like it's from a variac to me.
