Hi and thanks very much for your advice. I would love to learn but I do not know what or whom to learn from. Is there anything online that could help me? I wouldn't even know what grease to use. As for the radio. I reckon it probably does have a frame antenna. It is just not good enough. When I am touching it the signal gets better as it uses my body to increase its signal. At the top of this thread there are photos I have put on showing the connections at the back. Could I get one of them ribbon antennas and poke the wires into the holes along with the existing wander plug connection? Will any kind of signal booster work? Thanks and appreciate you taking the time to help.

Some have success with a crocodile clip and bit of wire attached to a radiator or similar. For best FM reception, a roof or loft based antenna would be good. But that would be assuming the radio is working 100%, its fun to experiment. Orientation of the radio gram and where it is in the room can also be a factor

With regards the deck, do some searching here, there is a sticky thread on record player renovation somewhere, other threads may have pictures too. Grease is very debatable, almost any new grease would get it going again
