Default Tektronix manuals

Old style Tek manuals sometimes have little cartoons on the schematics. Don't know if this was officially sanctioned by Tek but they're fun. This one was found on the yahoo Tek discussion group and I hope the person who posted it doesn't mind it having a wider circulation. It's from the 551 manual.

ISTR a cartoon of a pirate next to a pilot light in one of the Tek manuals. Can't find it at the moment.

The early Tek 454 manual had a wizard on the Y amp circuit. In the parts list it was labelled WZ401: Wizard, Non-replaceable.

Yes, I remember these they often helped to pass the day a little quicker,
for us Cal people the 184 Time Mark generator was particularly good, also the external sync (sink). This link is particularly useful http://www.reprise.com/host/tektronix/humor/default.asp
