I was quite surprised to read that there's no apparent intention to re-use this actual chassis in the rebuild, (even if it would have to be shot-blasted and completely rewired).
In the similar fields of Aviation or Railway preservation, a lost / recovered genuine relic like that would be regarded as holy and re-incorporated into the restoration / rebuild if it was even remotely possible. |

I agree completely,
The chassis does not look exactly unusable (considering some of the stuff that comes back from the dead on this site !! ) and I think it is important to use any real / original parts where possible, especially where they are freely available. I'm sure that the chassis would be a (fairly) easy restore for someone to carry out. Cheers, Alan. |
