Default Avo 8 mk7 current transformer

Hi,

Can anyone please help identify the correct mounting points for the current transfomer in an AVO 8 mk7?
I have managed to repair the moving coil assembly but replacing the current transformer in the case is proving difficult, - I can't see if the transformer mounts on a PCB or on pillars or in the case! (Meter arrived disassembled and Megger only have a user manual no internal assembly diagrams)

Many thanks

David

Hi David,

The Transformer mounts directly onto the Metal Frame behind
the Scaleplate. There are no standoffs, just screws.

The Transformer has a small PCB clipped to it where it's
connections are terminated. There is then a small wiring
harness connecting this small PCB to the Main Board.

I took some Photos which might help.

Hi Ian

Thank you very much, those photos are very helpful. I should be able to get everything back into the case now. I just couldn't see 2 mounting points that had the right spacing between them. I do now....

Many thanks - Another AVO saved!

Hi David,

Always good to save another Avo.
Especially a Mk VII, as they are not as common as the Mk V or VI.

There is no Service Manual for the Mk VII as far as I know, which
is a pain as the construction is quite different from the Mk V for
which there is a Service Manual.

If your Mk VII happens to have a surviving Serial Number,
maybe you could submit it on the Avo Multimeter Survey Sticky Thread.
