Default Generalized Markup Language

Is the GML for posts documented anywhere? I am familiar with a number of such languages from an earlier life, and it would make it easier to compose posts offline. Or is this usage deprecated?

It's just BB code. See https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/misc.php?do=bbcode.

A few of the tags are disabled in the forum configuration.

The mods do discourage intrusive and excessive formatting, and may edit accordingly.

Thanks for the explanation. BB is obviously after my time, although the general pattern is familiar.

I asked out of interest, and because I found that entering lists was a bit tedious.
