Grundig Satellit 3400 Pro help please
I have this which works really well but has a few faults. All push buttons scratchy and need jiggling to work. Turret tuner for SW 3-10 needs a jiggle on some bands.
The bandwidth (switch with blue tac blob) only works if held in this position by blue tac. I believe that the switch is just a control arm which works a rod which operates the switch proper somewhere on the PCB. I am sure switch cleaner in the right place will sort 99% of this but it looks a nightmare to dismantle and I am well out my comfort zone. It looks like it may be on a sort of sub chassis which will pull out in a big lump? Does it.? Does anyone have a telescopic aerial that will fit. This one has failed and I don't see an easy way to repair. It's quite loose and wobbly too. And yes 3 of the switches are missing but it's just the control arms snapped off. The switches work fine with a sharp pointed object flicking them. I'll glue something on them to operate them. Thanks. |

Hi Terry,
Nice radio! Here is a free, good quality scan of the service manual - that should help: http://freeservicemanuals.info/en/se.../SATELLIT3400/ Peter |

Thanks Peter. It does appear to lift out the outer case in a big lump.
