I don't know the model or maker, but the licence plate which mentions the Gramophone Co, not EMI indicates a date between 1929 and 1931, when EMI was formed. The set wasn't made by Marconi or the Gramophone Co but used their patents.

Quite likely not to be Marconi. Date probably late '20s. Could be a commercially offered kit set, a home brew wouldn't have the white licence plate.

Might be traceable from the licence number?

Possibly a Fellows radio, they used this case on the Fellows Premier Four.

John.

The Lissen name on one of the components might be a clue to the maker. I think Lissen also made components for other manufactureres too.

John.
I've tracked down a photo or two on the net and it does look very much like a Fellows set....
