Default Loft find radio ID? Identified as a Graves Vulcan.

This two valve set (valves missing) was found in a loft recently. I'm hoping someone out there might be able to identify it.

Apart from the labels on the transformer there are no manufacturers' labels, parts or serial numbers. The dial labeled 'strengthen' swings a shaft that moves a coil over two
fixed coils in the cabinet and I guess it's varying the mutual inductance of the coils and adjusting selectivity. The circuit is 'hard wired', the valves' wiring sandwiched between two wooden boards. I've not yet attempted to work out the circuit diagram, maybe something to do in the winter months.

Any ideas as to the origin or age of the receiver?

Well done Mike, 13 minutes and a spot on answer, as usual. That Radio Museum has an interesting link to the Wireless World publish date nearly 93 years to the day.

John.

Graves Vulcan, second version of 1927, I think. There was a Wireless World review of it, not sure in which issue. The first version had "Vulcan JGG" on the front panel, later versions don't have this.
