140pF x 6 silver mica
In the midst of rebuilding an Ekco set, after all the usual capacitors have been changed it is still very deaf. Opening the IFT cans reveals button type silver mica capacitors, they are varying in capacity from anything from 12pF to 81pF so they will need to be changed.
Would anyone have six 140pF silver mica caps please, happy to reimburse costs of course. online checks only reveal 150pF or 130pF

Not a common value, you could use 2 x 68pF in parallel though?

Sorry,don't have that value. It's probably silver mica disease, common in IF cans. They're 2% but would a few puff either way matter? Am thinking a 130p or 150p 10% might do if you go through a batch and select those nearest 140p. Or would some small presets work? I've just sold all the ceramic ones I had unfortunately.

You could also try polystyrene caps as they are suitably stable and may have better availability

Just Radio's in Canada do a selection of mica caps. No 140pF unfortunately but they do 70pF 1% so two of those in parallel will give you what you want. Otherwise as Ed says, use polystyrene types and make the value up....(I have done this with success).
