Default RCS Type 401 Counter Timer Service Information

Hi.

Can anyone help with any service information including a circuit diagram for an old type 401 nixie tube counter timer made by RCS? It has many similarities to the one depicted in this thread https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=102912

My counter however only has a 32MHz range.

Regards
Symon.

Default Re: RCS Type 401 Counter Timer Service Information

I have a 50MHz Advance counter timer. No circuit, had it probably 30 years. It has had a couple of faults. Incorrect display which I traced to the DN8880 (I think that is the number) which is the high voltage BCD nixie driver. It reminded me of the low voltage equivalent used for channel display on the Grundig 1632 colour TV. I used to have a stack of the dual red LED 8 segment displays, and wondered about converting from nixies. The nixies are dual devices. The second fault I had was due to "blackness" around the leading decimal point of one nixie. I solved that by exchanging with one in a different position where that decimal point was not used.
Les.
