Garrard SP25 Mk4
The SP25 I have has a strange problem.
The motor "stalls" after a few minutes but turning the motor shaft by hand starts it again, it then stalls again. This is without the turntable fitted. If I turn the whole unit upside down the motor works perfectly. I cleaned and relubricated the bearings to no avail. Any ideas? Trevor |

Re: Garrard SP25 Mk4
Thanks for the quick reply Ben.
I don't think this is the problem I just checked the disk which is drilled which is fitted to the lower end of the armature and it is firmly attached. Is there another disk fitted to the top end of the armature? How do you remove the brass drive pulley so that you can remove the armature completely ? There does not seem be any grub screws fixing it. Trevor |

Re: Garrard SP25 Mk4
OK problem solved, there is another disk at the top end of the armature and sure enough it was loose. Refixed with epoxy now OK.
Thanks Trevor |
