Hi Kevin,

I'm a fan of battery valve portables of this era myself, although I have plenty of sets in my own collection and don't need any more! It is rather sad that there seems to be so little interest in your sets, despite the bargain price which in no way reflects the value of the work you've put into restoring them.

Oh Dear. I can rehome the Marquisa, and can collect. They are all nice. Bit short of space, but I do like it.
If it helps, I can collect any others people might fancy, and take to Harpenden, I usually go.

Sadly the 'collection only' aspect makes acquiring them 'impossible' - for me it would be a 12 hour round trip and 20 gallons (£120) of fuel!

I'm sure people do want them.

Which of the two poses the most risk of damage to them, posting them or putting them in landfill?

I can vouch for the quality of these sets as I now have one...

If anyone has been on the verge of getting round to giving one a home, go for it now!

It is not the risk of damage that I am reluctant to post it is the additional work and cost

Charging a few quid for bubblewrap and then using a budget-price drop-off parcel service might be ideal for saving these, Kevin.

As Martin says, I've bought sets off Kevin in the past and they've been very nice indeed.
