I thought it was Swansea..

I managed success with around 70% of the 1810UB's. They were often dragged in after another guy had wrecked them. £37.50 for two SCG's was no joke back then, even now!
I replaced every electrolytic that could be in any way connected with the power supply/line oscillator and loads of other bits. I thought I was loosing the plot so it was quite satisfying to learn from a guy that he had returned his direct to Sony after many complaints for it to go pop a month later. He ourchased a new Toshiba from me and never looked back. John
