Spectra video-vision V250 VHS Player and Recorder. Value?
Today I found a Spectra video vision V250 VHS Player and Recorder in it's original bag together with a AC Adapter, a power supply unit and a Battery 12 Volt. They are all fully intact but there may be possibile damage in the VHS Player and Recorder (I only found it today and did not inspect the innards yet). I would like to know what this thing is worth and what to do with it. I attached some photos too.
Here is some info about it: Made in Germany by Nordmende, Norddeutsche Mende-Rundfunk GmbH (Sterling), Bremen-Hemelingen Built in 1979/80 It is a Sound and image archiving device and a VHS Player It's size is 13.4 x 5.9 x 13.4 inch Weight 16 lb 8.3 oz (16.52 lb) |

It has a very "JVC" look about it, and probably is mechanically and electrically similar to another JVC or Ferguson model.

Re: Spectra video-vision V250 VHS Player and Recorder
Certainly a lot of the later NordMende-badged machines were JVC's (sometimes with different/better options in the electronics). My family's first VCR was a NordMende and I used to fit JVC/Ferguson pinch rollers, etc.

I've got something very similar to that at my parental home, somewhere, it has a 'property of Shropshire Fire & Rescue service' written on it (from a legitimate dispersal auction!!). Mine is badged JVC.
PS: Yes, a JVC HR4100, designed for an on-the-shoulder video camera. Released 1978. WHen Dad came from the auction he said there were some old TV carmeras in the next lot. (pic courtesy of Hifi Engine)

Made by JVC of course, but internet sources don't always distinguish between brand and manufacturer.

Looks much like the Ferguson 3V10 - I sold 5 of these (assumed non working and in poor condition), late last year for £10!
