Bush VTR 103
Hello all,
Just been having a look at this set for someone. It worked well on AM but the volume on VHF was very low and distorted. All the transistors are the originals but rather than blaming the AFs for whisker shorts I got out the circuit. I have seen a few threads where it is said that the VHF on these sets is always low! The cure is as follows:- Replace C40 0.01 Hunts, C42 0.25 Hunts then adjust the top core in the can that contains L24/25/26. This normally sits about 4 turns down from the top. This on was adjusted about 9 turns from the top. the reception is exceptional and as loud as AM. John. |
